Pregnancy can be overwhelming—physically, mentally, and emotionally. My pregnancy journey felt like a constant roller coaster. I was confused by Instagram advice, family rituals, and endless do’s and don’ts, unsure of what was truly right for my baby and myself.
That confusion changed when I joined Belly n Baby. It turned out to be the best decision I made during my pregnancy. The classes didn’t just focus on fitness—they helped me understand my body, my baby, and the entire pregnancy journey. Through pregnancy yoga, strengthening exercises, meditation, Lamaze labour classes, and informative sessions, I felt supported at every stage, from pregnancy to labour and now into motherhood.
How Belly n Baby Supported Me Through Pregnancy
The prenatal yoga and exercise sessions helped me stay active, strong, and confident throughout pregnancy. More importantly, the information sessions replaced fear with clarity. I finally understood what was happening in my body and why, which made a huge difference to my mental and emotional well-being.
The combination of physical movement, guided breathing, meditation, and science-based knowledge prepared me not just for childbirth, but for motherhood itself.
My Labour Experience
I delivered my baby at 40 weeks and 5 days—a 4.06 kg baby girl through a normal vaginal delivery. It wasn’t easy, but I had the strength—both physical and mental—to go through it.
During intense labour pain, the simple inhale–exhale breathing techniques I learned in Lamaze classes worked like magic. Even when my body felt completely exhausted, my determination to deliver vaginally kept me going. I used everything I had learned—ball exercises, squats, malasanas, stretches, breathing patterns, and calming techniques—to stay focused and grounded.
One of the most valuable parts of the Lamaze program was the involvement of my husband. He learned how to support, massage, and encourage me during labour, and his presence made a huge difference when I needed it most.
A Message for Pregnant Women
If you’re pregnant and feeling lost with advice from Instagram, family, and well-meaning people around you—know that you’re not alone. The noise can be overwhelming.
My advice is simple: ignore the confusion, find the right guidance, and trust science, your strength, yourself, and your baby. With the right prenatal support, pregnancy and childbirth can feel empowering rather than frightening.
I’m deeply grateful to Nikita and Belly n Baby for guiding me through one of the most powerful journeys of my life.
